Learning new things and making personal changes can be fun and exciting, and it can also be stressful and challenging.
Sometimes, other factors prevent us from reaching our full potential, such as difficulty with attention, memory, language or processing information. In this case, Chantelle can assist clients with identifying cognitive strengths/weaknesses through assessments and provide recommendations and interventions to support her clients. Chantelle is a bilingual (French/English) lifetime learner. She has spent most of her life working and going to school simultaneously. During her bachelor degree program, Chantelle worked as an aide at Valley View Center, a care facility for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. Her daily interactions with the residents taught her inclusion, compassion, humility and the value of a smile. After receiving her degree, Chantelle began teaching which taught her creativity, problem-solving, patience, the value of multiple perspectives and the excitement of helping others be successful. During that time, Chantelle completed a M. Ed from the University of Regina and a Post-Degree Certificate in Special Education from the University of Saskatchewan. Chantelle fills her spare time with food, football, puns and thoughts of travel. |
