Deb Bissonnette is a social worker who specializes in working with children, youth, parents and adults. She has over 25 years of experience from working in Social Services in British Columbia. and Saskatchewan. She also works with Mental Health Services for the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) in Swift Current.
Deb completed a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan and a Masters in Social Work at Marywood College in Scranton, PA, USA. Throughout her career, Deb has gained extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Grief Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Children of Trauma and the Physiology of Trauma, Violence Threat Assessment (VTRA), Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training(ASIST), Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP), and The Incredible Years Parent Group Leader training. Her practice utilizes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered Psychotherapy, Motivational Therapy, as well as, Grief Therapy and Mindfulness. When Deb is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as helping others in need. Deb brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Brunswick Creek Psychology Services Team to help serve our clients with quality care to meet their needs to lead more fulfilling lives.
