Third time’s the charm! Willow has recently joined the Brunswick Creek team after returning to her home province of Saskatchewan for the third time. She completed her M.A. in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University, her B.A. Honours in Psychology and History from The King’s University College, and her B.B.S. from Millar College of the Bible. She joined the roster of Registered Psychologists with the College of Alberta Psychologists in 2017, becoming dually registered with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists in 2022. She joins Brunswick Creek after working in the public sector where her position included working in rural settings which are of particular interest to her.
Willow provides psychotherapy services to individual adults through a client-centred, integrative lens, pulling tools from a variety of theoretical approaches depending on the client. She is excited to focus on her specialty of neuro-based approaches to trauma therapy as well as general concerns. She is certified in Observed & Experiential Integration (OEI) and Lifespan Integration, both of which focus on helping the brain move through past traumatic events that can leave someone feeling “stuck” without the client having to speak about the events at length or in depth.
Her research experience includes the experiences of involuntary/medical spousal separation with the focus on the spouse who remains in community.
Willow enjoys spending time with her family, indoors and out. Her other interests include reading, photography, animals, gardening, dirt biking, and quadding.
